This week we are to write a love letter to ourselves. Telling ourselves what we love and appreciate about…well, ourselves. A healthy body and healthy diet aren’t going to matter if you don’t first have a happy and healthy mind. Why is it that saying something good about ourselves seems so challenging??? I, of all people, should know the amazing things I’m capable of and goodness inside me…but it’s so HARD! This is assignment is a great refresher to remind myself just how amazing I am and how self-love is the first step to a healthy lifestyle.
Dear Me,
You are freaking awesome. You have come so far, especially in these last 2 years. I couldn’t be happier with the direction you’re taking your life. Thank you for always being there for me… though I don’t know where you’d go? (Ok, that was a dumb joke, but whatever) I feel like I’m just meeting the real YOU and let me tell you, I LOVE THE REAL YOU!
I love your crazy, mismatched style. I love that you like to try new things and aren’t afraid (anymore) to express yourself. I love your hair that hasn’t been washed in a couple days. I love your long eyelashes, especially when so many other people pay for them to look like yours! I love your independence but you are also so compassionate and kind to everyone you meet. I love that you are open minded and enjoy being around all kinds of people.
I love that laughter is something you have to have, daily. The way you laugh, the way you make other people laugh… It’s the cheapest medicine after all! Jokes make life so much more enjoyable. I’m growing to love how loud you talk when you get excited, but at this point I think it’s just a crush.
I love how much you love LOVE. You love your family, your doggies, and your friends to the moon and back and you would do anything for them. I love how you cry at commercials and anything remotely sad. I love how you would take in any stray animal… unless, of course, it was a rodent.
I love your short, curvy body. Even though next to impossible to find pants short enough, and shoes small enough, your body is a beautiful blessing. Never take it for granted, because not everyone is lucky enough to have a complete, wholly functioning body.
I love that you enjoy fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and healthy foods! Thank God!!! I love that health is one of the most important things in your life.
I love you, Self. Thank you for not giving up, even when I know you wanted to.
Love,
Me xo
Wow! That was actually really nice! I’m feeling the LOVE for ME!!! Now I ‘m gonna go out and celebrate me. I suggest you do the same.
Lots of love, Peeps.

Short pants and tiny feet? I’d give anything to have tiny feet! I have short legs and big feet! lol I SO thought I was going to be taller! lol You’re a very bright personality and perfect for this program! Thank you for your encouragement!
Ahh.. laughter & crazy mismatched style. I love it!!! Love having the chance to “meet” you through boot camp!
I think we have the short curvy thing in common
