In our fitmixer Boot Camp, snacking is a MUST (yea – that’s a good MUST)! Here’s the thing, it can get tricky to grab a quick snack in a hurry if you are not prepared. I went to the grocery store today and started putting away groceries in my typical manner when I realized, if I really wanted to eat the foods I bought in a hurry, I should make them accessible. Accessibility is the key to successful, nutritious eating when you are in a hurry…and let’s face it – we all are.
Check out before I decided to make ultra accessible snacks:
I quickly took 11 minutes (I timed myself) and cut up my veggies, washed fruit and put them on the refrigerator shelf at my eye level for easy-to-see accessibility. This is setting myself up for success and some yummy snack options!
Side note: also good for accessibility with teenagers. My daughter found my healthy snacks after school (although she is eating mindlessly while texting)!

I did this with veggies on Saturday morning.. I feel like I have an omelet bar now! Had a great egg white omelet in less than 5 minutes this morning, and packed my whole lunch while it was cooking. Also, now that I have been using MyFitnessPal for a week straight, my favorite foods are all accessible, and its takes way less time to enter everything!

Your daughter is gorgeous! Gets it from you! Well, okay, and Jeff.. haha. It seriously is so easy to take an hour on Sunday to prep for the whole week! Essential! xoxo
Your daughter looks so much like you – she’s gorgeous! I also love the idea of having these at hand – I’m on it today!
