Have you watched the new video for the next fitmixer® Boot Camp yet? Can I just tell you that I was beyond terrified? Seriously; like shaking, short of breath, anxiety attack, freaked out, and kind of terrified. Being in front of the camera is NOT something I’m familiar with. The camera crew kept telling me to “just act natural” but talking straight into a camera, trying to sound excited but not overly excited, hooked to a microphone, with giant lights shining on me, and everyone watching/critiquing my every move is in no way natural. I really wish you could see some of the outtakes… besides being exceptionally hilarious, you can see how stressed out and frustrated I became at myself when I mess up. And I messed up A LOT. Like two hours worth of filming for a 2 minute video. So that leaves about 1 hour and 57 minutes of outtakes. There is even a moment of positive self-talk that comes spewing out of me, trying to push myself through this uncomfortable challenge. At one point, the cameraman tells me the camera is dying so we only have two more takes. Nice.
I didn’t just step out of my comfort zone… I took a freaking gigantic leap! I know some of you will be able to relate to these feelings of anxiety and self-doubt. Especially if you’re considering joining the fitmixer® Boot Camp, signing up at a gym, or committing to a new lifestyle change. You’re not going to get anywhere if you don’t step out of your comfort zone occasionally. Otherwise, you’ll just be in your own little circle, dreaming of what it would be like to challenge yourself and gain new experiences. There is a first time for everything. A “something new” for everyone. A different challenge every day. Pushing ourselves beyond our perceived boundaries allows each of us to expand, grow, and experience new life adventures. So today I want you to do something that’s out of your comfort zone. Shoot to do something new at least once a week. And let us know what you did!
As for how the video turned out… I’ll let you decide that for yourself…
